Dave Foster, Bill Van Bramer and myself (Tom Oliver) raced against one of Ed’s team cars in the final round at Budds Creek, Maryland in the mid nineteen seventies. We ran a 1970 Road Runner Six Pack in CS/A. Our index was 11.81 while the FS/A Challenger index was 12.00 in that year. We ran 11.816 where the challenger ran 12.00 exactly. However, we beat the Challenger to the finish line with a better response time on the starting line.
Ed Hamburger was our hero. I pray that Ed is doing well.
